ceramics for your everyday rituals

______

clay connects us to the earth

Hello, I'm Jessica

And so happy you're here! I'm a South African ceramist & maker of things living & working in the UK. I love making pots, using pots & sharing the joy of the handmade.

Generosity. Passion. Curiosity and joy. Community. Sustainability.

These are the values that hold my clay story together.

I love creating intentional, beautiful, usable objects that bring joy to our everyday rituals: bowls and dishes that we can share meals with our loved ones in; cups that hold our favourite tea and warm our hands; trinket dishes that elevate our treasured jewels.

These simple ceramic objects can be loved and treasured forever.

discover the saggar firing process

UNGLAZED FUNCTIONAL CERAMICS

Each piece is barrel or pit fired in an individual saggar with flowers, leaves, egg shells, feathers and shed snake skins. When these elements combust they release carbon into the pores of the clay to create unique and unrepeatable finishes. Every cup, bowl and dish is then sealed to become waterproof and food safe.
