Handmade and each one different to the next, the Hebe cup brings the alchemy of nature to your teatime rituals and drinks cabinet.
This particular group of Hebe cups is very dark in finish. These cups were fired with sugar and sea salt, which create a shiny and deep black surface in the saggar firing. In small areas of these cups the dark sheen parts to reveal the white clay surface and some organic textures used in the saggar firing.
The Hebe Cup is made with a rounded base to comfortably cradle your favourite bevvie in a cupped hand.
- holds approximately 350ml
- ± 9 cm wide & 10 cm tall
- waterproof, oil repellant & food safe
Hand wash with dish detergent and a gentle scrub brush or sponge; leave to air dry.
While each Hebe cup is slab-built to be similar in shape and size, every piece is entirely unique and distinctive after emerging from the saggar firing. The surfaces of these cups can be entirely blackened, highly contrasted, or pale and lightly smokey. Read more about the saggar firing process here.
After the firing each piece is sanded, scrubbed clean and sealed with Elements Air. Learn more about Elements Air.
